Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Java Jacket, Inc. ("Java Jacket," "we," "us") collects, uses, shares and keeps personal information when you visit javajacket.com, place an order, contact us or sign up for our emails.

INFORMATION YOU GIVE US

• Account and orders: name, company, email, phone, billing and shipping addresses, order history and order notes.
• Payment: card details are entered into a form provided by our payment processor and go straight to them. We do not store full card numbers. If you save a card for later, the payment processor stores it and we keep only a reference to it.
• Forms: custom printing quotes, sample requests and business inquiries (name, company, email, phone, address and anything you write), and artwork files you upload.
• Newsletter: your email address, after you confirm it.
• Reviews: your name, review text and the order it relates to.

INFORMATION COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY

• Analytics: we use an analytics service to see which pages are visited, from what kind of device and roughly where. It uses cookies and receives your IP address. We have turned off its cross-device tracking and ad personalization.
• Checkout activity: when you enter your email at checkout, we send it with your cart contents to our email provider. If you don't finish your order, we may send you one reminder email. When you complete an order, we send its details to our email provider so we can send a follow-up email.
• Error reports and logs: when something goes wrong on the site, we collect technical details about the error, including your IP address and browser, to fix it. Our servers also log IP addresses and the pages requested.
• Bot protection: some forms use a spam-protection service, which checks your browser and IP address to stop bots.

HOW WE USE IT

To process, ship and support your orders; to answer quotes and questions; to produce custom printed sleeves from your artwork; to run your account; to send the emails you asked for or that relate to your order; to keep the site secure and working; and to keep business, tax and accounting records.

WHO WE SHARE IT WITH

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share it only with service providers that help us run the business, for the purposes above, in these categories:

• Payment processing
• Website, store and file hosting
• Email delivery and newsletters
• Form and order record management
• Site analytics
• Error monitoring
• Spam and bot protection
• Shipping carriers

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or prevent fraud, or as part of a sale or merger of the business.

COOKIES AND BROWSER STORAGE

We use cookies to keep you signed in (one lasts an hour, another up to 7 days) and browser storage to remember your cart and account details on your device. Our analytics service sets its own cookies, which last up to 2 years. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; the cart and sign-in may not work without them.

Our site does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.

EMAILS

Our newsletter is opt-in: you are only added after you confirm your email. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also email us to stop them. We will still send emails about orders you place.

HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

We keep account, order, quote and form records, and the emails related to them, indefinitely as business records. Error reports are deleted after about 30 days. If you ask us to delete your information, we will delete what we are not required to keep for legal, tax or accounting reasons.

YOUR CHOICES

You can see and update your account details by signing in. To ask for a copy of your information, a correction or deletion, email operations@javajacket.com. We may need to confirm your identity first.

California residents: you can review and change the information we hold as described above. We do not share personal information with other companies for their own direct marketing. If you have questions about your California privacy rights, email operations@javajacket.com.

SECURITY

We use encrypted connections, limit access to customer information, and leave card processing to our payment processor. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed without permission.

CHILDREN

Our site is for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.

CHANGES

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the effective date above.
