Q: Is there any price difference between large and small Java Jackets?

A: No. The price is based on the paper color only.

Q: Is Custom Printing available?

A: Yes, there is a minimum order of 40 cases, pre-assembled, large or small, natural or white. Please call us for a price quote.

Q: Why Java Jackets are considered so special?

A: The patented embossed nubbins allow for air to pass through the jacket. Also, they give extra protection by providing better insulation and easier handling.

Q: What about the environment?

A: Java Jackets are made with recycled paper. The jackets themselves are also reusable and recyclable.

Paper: Flexo Printed Natural kraft Java Jackets are made from Linerboard which is comprised of approximately 35% post consumer recycled paper fiber. It has FDA approval for indirect contact for food packaging applications.
Flexo Printed White Java Jackets are made from uncoated virgin SBS paperboard. It has FDA approval for direct contact for food packaging applications.
Process Printed White Java Jackets are printed on Claycote Newsback White paperboard which is comprised of 100% recycled paper.

Glue: The glue used on Java Jackets is a water based, non regulated,
synthetic resin adhesive which is non toxic, biodegradable and FDA approved for indirect contact with food.

Ink: The ink used in Flexography printing is water based, non toxic and approved for indirect contact with food.

Paper: Flexo Printed Natural kraft Java Jackets are made from Linerboard which is comprised of approximately 30% post consumer recycled paper fiber. It has FDA approval for indirect contact for food packaging applications.

Flexo Printed White Java Jackets are made from uncoated virgin SBS paperboard that has FDA approval for direct contact for food packaging applications.

Glue: The glue used on Java Jackets is petroleum based with an organic compound resin derived from vegetables. It is non toxic and FDA approved for indirect food packaging.

Ink: The ink used on Java Jackets is water based and approved for indirect contact with food.

All Java Jackets are recyclable and compostable.
SBS = Solid Bleached Sulfates

Q: Can Java Jackets be compostible?

A: Yes, you can shred paperboard into small pieces. Wetting it makes it easier to tear, or make a wet slurry and turn it (mix) into the compost. If you have a lot, consider recycling instead.
